Proverbs 1
1 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
Proverbs - 잠언
2 for gaining wisdom and instruction; for understanding words of insight;
gain- 얻다 / wisdom-지혜 / instruction-교훈 / understand-이해하다 / word-말씀 / insight-통찰력
3 for receiving instruction in prudent behavior, doing what is right and just and fair;
receive-받아 / intrusction-교훈,훈계 / prudent-신중한 / behavior-행실,태도 / right-옳은, just-정의로운, fair-공의로운
4 for giving prudence to those who are simple, knowledge and discretion to the young—
prudence-분별, simple-단순한(지적으로 모자라는) / knowledge-wltlr, discretion-신중함 / young-젊은 자
5 let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance—
the wise-지혜로운 자 / add-더하다 / learning-학식 / the discerning-명철한 자 / guidance-지도(안내)
6 for understanding proverbs and parables, the sayings and riddles of the wise.

7 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
fear-두려움,경외 / of the Lord-여호와에 대한 / beginning-시작,근원 / of knowledge-지식의 /
fools-미련한 자들 / despise-멸시하다 / wisdom & instruction - 지혜와 훈계
8 Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
Listen-들으라, my son-내 아들아 / forsake-저버리다,버리다
9 They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.
garland-화환, 화관 / grace your head-너의 머리를 꾸밀(장식할) / chain-사슬,목걸이 / adorn-장식하다
10 My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.
sinful men-악한 자, 죄인 / entice-유도/유인하다 / do not give in - ~에 항복하다,굴복하다, (마지못해)동의하다(받아들이다)
11 If they say, “Come along with us; let’s lie in wait for innocent blood, let’s ambush some harmless soul;
if they say-그들이 말한다면, come along-같이 가자 / lie in wait-기다리다 / innocent blood-정직한 피 /
ambush-매복하다 / harmless - 무해한, 악의없는
12 let’s swallow them alive, like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to the pit;
let's swallow-우리가 삼키자 / them alive-그들을 산채로 / like the grave - 무덤(사망)과 같이
like those who go down to the pit-구덩이로 내려가는 자들과 같이
13 we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder;
we will get-우리가 얻으리라 / all sorts of-갖가지의 / valuable things-가치있는 것들(보화)
fill our houses-우리의 집을 채울 것임 / with plunder - 약탈품으로
14 cast lots with us; we will all share the loot”—
cast lots with us-우리랑 제비를 뽑자 / we will all share-우리 모두가 나누리라 / the loot-노획물
15 my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths;
do not go along with them - 그들과 함께 가지 말라 / do not set foot - 발을 두지 말라 / on their paths-그들의 길 위에
16 for their feet rush into evil, they are swift to shed blood.
for-왜냐면 / their feet-그들의 발은 / rush-서둘러간다 / into evil-악으로
they are swift-그들은 재빠름,날랜 / to shed blood-피를 흘리기에
17 How useless to spread a net where every bird can see it!
how useless-얼마나 쓸모없는가 / to spread a net - 망을 펴다(치다) / where every bird can see it - 모든 새들이 볼 수 있는 곳에
18 These men lie in wait for their own blood; they ambush only themselves!
these men-이 남자들은 / lie in wait-기다린다 / for their own blood-그들 자신의 피를 위해 /
they ambush-그들은 매복할 뿐이다 / only themselves-단지 자신들을
19 Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the life of those who get it.
such-이러한 것들이 / are the paths-길이다 / of all who go after- ~를 따르는 자들의 / ill-gotten gain- 부정하게 얻은 이익
it takes away-그것은 가져간다 / the life(생명) of those who get it-그것을 얻는 자들의 목숨을.
20 Out in the open wisdom calls aloud, she raises her voice in the public square;
out in the open-야외에서 / wisdom(지혜는) calls aloud-외친다 / she raises-그녀는 높인다 / her voice-그녀의 목소리를
